I had to be induced at 37 weeks for hypertension and even though my baby was still only 6 pounds it was still really hard to get her out especially at the first time mom I couldn’t have imagined her being a lot bigger or some peoples who are over 8 pounds

csections make them more money that's the plain reason.

5th babay here as well Well it’s bc of the lungs I’m dealing with it right now I won’t dilate, and I’m having contractions and they won’t help it along bc they want her to cook for 4 more days so torture it is

I mean, different perspective: if someone is pregnant and wanting to have a baby, then they are committing to growing the baby until it’s done? Your body is built to “get the baby out” unless there is an underlying issue going on (misaligned, pelvic floor issues, poor positioning, etc). Like just because the drugs exist to induce doesn’t mean you’re entitled to them? I’m confused. You agree to grow the baby but want to end the pregnancy early when there is no medical reason to do so. Your body isn’t accidentally making a baby too big or anything crazy like that 🤣 I went to 42 with my last, but I think that’s because they messed up my due date 🤷🏻♀️

everyone was worried that my daughter was going to be a big baby. and was saying that I needed to be induced. had the last growth scan and she was only measuring around 7 lbs. my due date was July 7th. I carried her 3 days passed that. I had to be induced on the 9th, and had her on the 10th, and she only weighed 7lbs and 1 oz. I had to be induced due to hypertension. and found out I wasn't dilating on my own either. only 1cm.

I was told at 37 weeks my baby already measured 8lbs and was going to be a 10lb baby… he was born at 39 weeks and only 7lbs 11ozs. We keep baby baking bc that scan can be SO OFF and baby’s lungs need to finish developing!

It’s not about size of the body. It’s about healthy babies with fully developed lungs.

No one can predict when you got pregnant! The Dr.’s can guess! The baby should come when they come! My children were 8lbs 6 1/2oz, 9lbs 4 1/2oz and 8lbs 5 1/2oz! Your body can do what it needs to do!!

Because the size of the baby doesn’t equal mature lungs. A NICU stay is worse than a C-section

I had my last growth scan this week, I’m 37 weeks, baby is measuring 9lbs right now. I also may have cholestasis but results won’t be ready until 38weeks. I also have GD. They said they’ll induce me at 39 weeks and baby will be more than 10lbs by then. I’m filled with so much anxiety and I’m in paaaain.

this is why I love my Dr. at 28 weeks my baby was weighing 3lbs. I have a history of each of my baby's being bigger than the last at birth. this is my 5th. #4 was 9lbs and her shoulder got stuck. my Dr and I have talked about all my options for if this baby is also big. Dr predicted 9-10lbs at birth. I'm currently due August 26th
