I have the Platinum AmEx & the Delta Reserve AmEx so I’m getting into a lounge regardless. I don’t think my home airport has a Delta One Lounge (ATL), and since business class doesn’t typically have a middle seat, these restrictions wouldn’t really bother me. The only thing that may deter me is how I would earn miles because that’s connected to my status.

Delta is packaging this as a savings to it’s customers, but it’s just a way to charge more for the lounge and choosing your seat. Everything at Delta is turning al a cart. 😢

I would book. I have regular lounge access (15 annually through AMEX). I saw the Delta 1 lounge in Boston last month on my way to Lisbon, but didn’t use it because I was travelling with a friend who wasn’t in Delta 1 so I used a pass to let her join me in Sky Club. I’d let One Club/Lounge go for the $ savings.

I will never understand why people think lounges are a flex. I want to be in and out of an airport. I fly a lot and never pay for flights. Always use points for flights and I never book long layovers. No lounge makes up for me not getting to where I’m going.

Unless you’re booking Delta One, you’re not getting in the Delta One Lounge. Second you’re neglecting to mention that you have the option at the time of purchase you have the option to select or not select this ticket with clear explanations of what’s included.
