@jake_the_nature_nerd: What happened to the tadpoles?! 🐸 A lot of you have been asking about the toads & I finally have the long anticipated update to share with ya’ll. The truth is… We got a little bit distracted by the much more popular mystery fish discovery this season & the tadpoles faded into the background on the channel. But that doesn’t mean I wasn’t still caring for the tadpoles in the 125 gallon aquarium! Over the last several weeks I have been continuously feeding the toad tadpoles, completing weekly water changes to maintain fresh water, and watching the tadpoles slowly develop into baby toads. First they grew *BACK* legs, then *FRONT* legs, until they eventually absorbed their tails and developed into stereotypical toads. I have been releasing them into my mom’s backyard to eat insects & grow into adults to begin this process over again in 2027! #toad #frog #nature #tadpoles #amphibian
