Amen! I’m a radio host for the drive home radio in Gatineau. We do traffic report every 15 minutes. I’ve NEVER seen this kind of congestion.

My theory is that restaurants and other retailers in the downtown core are struggling/failing, so bringing back the government workers will solve that problem. It's the only thing that makes sense to me since no one can actually point to a downturn in work or work product as a justification for the need to return in person.

Actually has nothing to do with productivity or managing people. It’s strictly to do with the actually property itself. Keeping the property vibrant and filled with people keeps the portfolio high (Brookfield)

I'm a roofer and all I wanna do is work from home. I keep telling my boss I'd be sooo much more productive if I worked from home. those long days in the sun makes me tired and the constant bending over is killing my back...it's like no one understands me. I'd get sooo much more work done if I was at home out of the sun where I didn't have to worry about my back. maybe if enough people complain with me I can make this happen 🤔 😏😂😂😂😅

Govy worker here🙋🏻♀️I personally think 2 days a week in office was perfect. There isn’t enough space and we’re still productive at home. In my opinion!

If I have to go into the office 5 days a week and pay $23 a day for parking there’s no way I’m going out and getting lunch/coffees. While in office I’ve actually been going out less after work. Probably helping the economy less now.

Cause the offices are there to be used I don’t understand why it’s such a difficult concept for people to go back to work as they did previously if it wasn’t for Covid, they would still be doing the same things at the end of the day if you want your job and they’re telling you to go back to the office, you go back to the office

Downtown looks like ghost town, all the businesses in downtown are suffering, restaurants, shops are closing down or lost their businesses. I agree 110% with governments decision. Myself and few of my friends own businesses in downtown and we are almost closing down due to lack of traffic and government employees working from home.

I don’t know why people think people don’t work when at home. It must be because that’s what they would do. MS Teams turns yellow when you are away from your desk more than 10 minutes, and that alerts your boss if you’re not at your desk working. Also, if someone calls you and you don’t answer on you computer with your camera on, I can tell you, you’re in trouble. I never worked harder than while at home. I was afraid to go to the bathroom and miss a call.
