I rlly think the only reason people are starting the game is to enjoy it, and you should take your time doing the story over a week, even a month. Skipping it as your first play will really ruin your gaming experience because there’s not much to enjoy besides the story when you begin, but why should that stop us from getting a slip button…Like I’m recommending but i rlly dgaf I need to skip sumeru on my alt

dont care because vns literally have a skip button😭 i played slow damage for the first time, it has two+ pre-stories before the main route you chose. they. have. a. skip. button. why couldnt genshin?

I just don't get the point. if you don't like or care for the story don't play the game. and if it's about the shitty side quests that don't do much for the over arching immersion and story, then just put something on in the background. watch YouTube, Netflix, talk with friends. that's what I do. I personally don't care if they add one, but it literally doesn't make sense to me.

i have the be honest. even when I try to read the dialogue, I still cannot keep up with the story. genuinely the only way I can actually keep up with it is by summaries I find... just reading through the dialogue consumes so much of my time, and what's important easily gets lost between unessacery lines for me. it's very hard for me to catch up or understand what the lore is and that's why I much rather there would be a skip button and a summary of it like hsr, that way I can actually understand what the shit is going on for once in a lifetime... 😭

i also think the argument focuses on archon quests too much. okay yeah those quests are actually important and people misunderstanding the information they provide is annoying but also there's like a billion world quests in this game?? genshin will deadass make you sit through a 2 hour world quest about some npc that has basically zero lore significance

like i saw somebody who said that if they add a skip button people who do use it should get less rewards 😭😭 IS IT REALLY THAT SERIOUS?? people will play this game for different reasons not everyone will want to be engaged with the story and adding a punishment for skipping just sounds so weird

Mind you, if you’re forced to play through a story you DONT WANT TO PLAY YET. You’ll be more inclined to not pay attention to it. But, if their were a summary before you skip, at least you’d get the gist of it

I don’t get the arguments for “why would you wanna play if not for the story” 😭 adding a skip button isn’t gonna hurt you, no one’s forcing you to skip. Who cares what someone else does? If you see a tiktok about someone skipping dialogue and it bothers you then boohoo, you’ll forget about it in an hour.

if i wanted lore im gonna watch a youtube video. why is a 5min quest 50mins long we have no clue. i know all the lore till 6.6 and i haven't even fully done the fontaine archon quest yet.

I personally DONT PLAY FOR STORY i like to pull characters and build them and explore and thats why I play. I think its stupid when people say "oh well if your not paying attention to quests then dont do them" when I need the rewards to pull for characters and weapons
