@andrew_the_arborist: Someone dumped this soil contaminated with the rhizomes of Japanese Knotweed plants. Plants resprouted from the rhizomes here, but I pulled as much as I could!
I am losing a battle to Tree of Heaven. how do i even stop it!? apparently we have a 40ft TOH and 500 small ones

I have Japanese knotweed on my property that I’ve been battling for years. I don’t think I could ever get a good nights rest again If I knew I had intentionally spread it somewhere like that.

that won't be good enough, you need to tell your local department. even in shade, the tiniest bit of root will grow

I go mushroom hunting every year and I have found so many plants for my garden from woods where they don't belong. In Estonia we also can add a map pin and send it to government when it's like really invasive thing like cow parsley or goldenrod. Those are really invasive in my country.

When you take out knot weed please don’t set it on the ground. Even that can send more seedlings
