I do find I don’t enjoy some things as much as I used to. I also don’t care about things as much as I used to. I’ve found that very freeing. It’s greatly reduced my anxiety which was a welcome side effect for me. Because I’m not anxious, I can enjoy being in the moment more. I’ve noticed I’m less motivated to do mundane things. On the days the injection is wearing off, I’m more motivated to do everything but also more easily irritable. Others I’ve talked to don’t notice this as all. Finding the right dose was really important for me. Overall GLP1 have been extremely positive for my overall well being.

I have been on 15mg of Zepbound for over 2 years now and I can tell you that Anhedonia is a real thing and you lose interest in all things that once brought you pleasure. I have had it for over a year.

I just miss the joy of cooking. Nothing about the kitchen excites me anymore. It feels like I'm only feeding my body because it needs it, not because I enjoy the process or Im "looking forward to..." . Cooking for the people I love used to be one of my love languages, and I truly miss that.
