„The Shining“ is a psychological horror film directed by Stanley Kubrick, based on the novel by Stephen King. The story follows Jack Torrance, an aspiring writer who takes a job as the winter caretaker of the isolated Overlook Hotel in the mountains of Colorado. He moves there with his wife Wendy and their young son Danny, hoping the quiet months will give him time to write and rebuild his strained family life.
