strange how he has a whole wall of books and yet we never really see him reading one (on screen at least) because he sees books as a way to shut people out like how his mother did so he grew resentful of books. Ironically he later shuts out people by being on his phone.

In one of the episodes Claudia is gone lousi is reading and him and Lestat kinda get into it he’s says something along the lines of “at least I actually read them instead of just flipping through pages and calling it done” don’t quote me because I know that’s not what he says but it’s something along the lines and I think this kinda shows Lestats representation of not liking books after being shut out by them
