Why are people saying it doesn’t make sense. He’s a young teen who didn’t want to leave when his friends were leaving. There were a lot of other kids / people hanging out in the water he didn’t want to go yet. Haven’t you ever been with a group of friends hanging out and you weren’t ready to leave & thought u could just hitch a ride back with someone else.
