This is the reason hospital is crowded & people have to wait half day to see a doctor. Many people think hospital bed is like a hotel.

I have seen a social workers at a niagara hospital er tell little old ladies frail as can be, they don't have anywhere for them to go at all. More than once. Seniors are very quickly becoming the highest demographic for homeless people in Canada

A hotel is an option. She has family. Sounds like everyone was refusing to participate in discharge planning. Also, this is why we need more government funding and more candidates advocating for healthcare.
