We lost my brother in law, in just a few months from esophageal cancer. He had no idea he had it. Acid reflux 😭😭😭 We had no clue either. Sucks.

We joked when I was pregnant about my husbands acid reflux - when my son was 3 months old he was diagnosed with a rare and agressive oesophageal cancer. He was given a year, but after a huge life changing op he’s still here and cancer free. ❤️

I had the same symptoms. I got an upper endoscopy and it was esophagitis. (Acid reflux can cause these same symptoms) so please don’t immediately think the worst! But definitely go in for a checkup!

My husband had “heartburn” and dr wasn’t concerned. It progressed until he was afraid to eat as it was difficult to swallow. He had esophageal and stomach cancer, 2 chemo and 40 radiation treatments, passed away within a year of diagnosis.

Oh wow. Maybe I needed to see this. I have been struggling with all kinds of reflux and esophageal spasms for years now. Recently though, I’ve been having swallowing issues and for the past few weeks, chest pains. These pains are new and I’ve been blaming them on the way I’m sleeping. My last endoscopy was a few years ago. Thank you for sharing!! Thinking of you both and hoping brighter days are ahead!!! ❤️

Get the endoscopy my husband had blood work full yearly exam June of 2024. He was fine. July 25th 2024 we though he was having heart attack 5 days in hospital heart fine but they fiubd mass on esophagus July 31st 24 we found out he had stage 4 esophageal cancer from B E. Passed on Oct 12, 2024 💔. Get checked.

My son is 24 and he’s done so many test and they can’t diagnose anything. He has GERD thats all they say, but he has difficulty sleeping, clears throat constantly and is phlegm in throat and sometimes difficulty swallow. What can I ask?
