I think they should not say this infront of them… I remember the same happened in the presence of imam bin baaz and he prayed for forgiveness for the one who praised him and himself. And made it clear he doesn’t like these praises. They should do it before he attended to make sure the audience understand who he is… because yes he is … a great aalim, faqiih and daaee… but let us not make them uncomfortable .
