Omg I son is 3 and picks 15+ books and I stress because it feels like we are hoarding but I also obviously LOVE his love for books and reading so I’m gonna facilitate that for sure!! My library has “grab n go” boxes that have 10-20 books meant to just take and go, those are our jam 😂💞

I only limit my son on library books because he doesnt read most of them once we’re home anyways 😅 And we walk to library so lugging home a ton of books he won’t read doesnt seem worth it lol. But maybe as he gets older and actually wants to read them all

I’m the same with the library… pick how many, whatever, read them all, don’t. Just happy you’re interested in the book!

I want to and really try to be ok with the messiness as it’s part of being a toddler exploring the world, but boy is it difficult sometimes 🙈 especially now that I’m in the third trimester, all that extra work I see being created in front of me can feel really defeating 🫠😅🤰

I do limit my kids books.... But that's only because they can't read that many books quickly. my oldest can get more than my little and we can swap daily if needed plus we have 200+ books we can read if they need more

Agree with all of this, especially regarding the food. People need to remember little kids need to learn to listen to their bodies, what does hungry feel like? What does full feel like? It’s hard to learn that if you’ve got an adult trying to micromanage how your little body feels

Can you please share more about food / eating. I'm interested in understanding how you manage when a child / children are going through a picky or beige phase & they don't want dinner but then ask for snacks. We have just started to be a bit more strict with this & essentially say no snacks if you can't eat some of your dinner & at least TRY everything on your plate if it's something new / they don't often eat.

✨autonomy✨ I love this! Giving them power when you can builds their confidence and tends to help them follow the rules when you do have to take the power back.

I'm a toddler teacher and I have to educate parents about the food thing a lot! many of them are surprised when I tell them I don't offer any snacks or anything if a child doesn't want what's offered.
