This is exactly why it was upsetting watching Aniya get blamed for 'not being a good friend' across episodes when even Melanie's own mother's tears and sister's tears couldn't get through to her. Then today Melanie manipulates the conversation with Aniya and Trinity and tries to shift her own responsibility onto them. If she likes it, we love it. Melanie has COMPLETE AUTONOMY over her own decisions. This is not Aniya's battle to fight. It's emotionally taxing and unfair. Mel is EXACTLY where she wants to be.
