This is how i felt when i had my first job there in manila. Pero nung nagtagal, sobrang tiring and chaotic na ng paligid especially kapag gabi. Sobrang nakakasuffocate. Life, money, and oppurtunity is in manila pero ang kapalit is pagod, puyat, iyak at lungkot.

If you’re from the province, you should know that Manila isn’t for the weak. Fast-pacing sa city. It’s exhausting but that’s the price u pay for chasing dreams that might never have been possible in the province.

People won’t mind you here in Manila. Like, as in unknown ka, which is very freeing sa pakiramdam. Like kanya kanya talaga, walang pakealamanan.

I have been in manila for 2 straight weeks ganyan din ang feeling ko. I met a lot of new people na hindi ako kilala. I can be who I really am there ng walang judgement or any pressure. I enjoyed my stay and met someone and made a lot of friends I hope to see them again someday in manila again. At nagkaron din ako ng saying bago umuwi what happens in manila stays in manila. that one conyo guy I hope he still knows me haha

When you get used to it, nakakasawa na. 😅 Kung wala lang job opportunities here, lumipat nako sa province. Ang crowded dito, madalas traffic.

finally, someone put it into words. there’s something about Manila that makes me dream bigger. kapag nandoon ako, pakiramdam ko mas malaya ako, mas malawak ang mundo, at mas malawak din ang imahinasyon ko. i miss my childhood and teenage years there. maybe some places really do become part of who you are. i guess i’m a city girl for life. <3

I grew up in the province, pero since nag move ako sa manila for work, sa twing uuwi ako ng province hinahanap ko tlga ang manila, kahit napaka chaotic i feel so free here.. 🥰
