I still don’t understand how Emily Henry has such a devoted following. Every time I’ve tried to read one, I hate both the book and the characters by the end of it, but I never DNF bc I convince myself there must be something notably good based on how other people rave about them

I loved Beach Read but I enjoy a cute little rom-com. I liked Yellowface, I feel like R.F Kuangs writing is a little too heavy handed and she does a lot of telling you how you should feel but overall it was a good book with an unreliable narrative.
