Personally not shocked at all. Lack of accountability leads to not educating your youth we did the same thing in Canada up until 20-30 years ago (we are still working on it) Then the fact that corporations can give millions to officials running for office is mind blowing basically it ensures it will never change

There's a book called Why Americans Hate Welfare that basically came to the same conclusion. BTW: Racism is also why we have to pay through the nose for college education.

I am a public health graduate student and in every class I have taken say that racism is the primary reason why America never implemented a universal health care is because of racism. yet there is no desire to move beyond this and implement free to low cost health care

Yes back then 25 dollars a month on insurance was nothing to a white person as long as black ppl couldn’t get it. Racism and greed is a plague on the United States.

The reason why we have our insurance associated with our jobs is because during World War II we froze salaries in a way to improve compensation is that we allowed businesses to offer that as part of a compensation package that’s why we don’t have it.
