Well, if you live with your parents and don’t pay as many bills then imo not having savings is really embarrassing but if you’re living in your own and paying your own bills completely by yourself then no, it takes time for that stability

If you are working a minimum wage than it’s understandable ig but a lot of people overspend I know I did, but I’m getting better at it. I payed rent and my personal bills and I was still able to save money but that’s because I worked overtime and don’t work for less than 15/hr.

yes. and I promise you, no matter how much better it seems other people are doing sometimes you aren't failing. that's something I've struggled with a lot in my 20's so far. just keep doing you and doing your best. you don't need some impressively high savings number. just try to save enough you have emergency money in the least, whatever that number looks like for you.

I have quite a bit saved up and I’m almost 20 but that’s because I’ve had a support system to allow me to save up so much! It’s perfectly normal especially nowadays to not have that much in savings, if you’re not in debt you’re quite ahead of most people

25 and i didnt own a savings account until last year. I have been so close to eviction, losing my car, and my ability to maintain my medications because i had to put unexpected life expenses on my credit card. Then racked up credit card debt i struggled for a long time to pay off. Please. Do it. Because it only takes one small thing to lose everything. And Ive seen onto depths of hell trying to get back into my feet. Even if it’s just $20 every paycheck, put it in the savings account. Please. Don’t start later. Do it now.

youre behind but its not too late. Roth 401k as soon as you can start putting any bits of your paycheck away. you should have 100k by age 30, and thats not an easy task if you arent taking advantage of compound growth
