Ive been finding myself jealous of my 14 year old body and then I realize that I felt that way because of the crazy beauty standards. Ive been trying to get myself out of that mindset and into the mindset of “my body is maturing, im becoming an adult” and it’s made all the difference being aware of how beauty standards hold womens bodies to such a child-like standard in order to be considered the beauty norm.

my dad asked me “what do you weigh? 140-120?” as an insult basically trying to say i look like i weigh a lot. in his mind he thinks 120+ is big. i was 160 at the time
