I agree with you on getting a second opinion. one time I had a Mobile mechanic come to me waving apart in the air saying I agree to pay x amount of money then proceeded to tell me I need a head gasket with no tools, two fingers and a flashlight. Claimed he would charge me $1,200 with a two-week warranty after owning my car for 90 days. lol I told him I need to get a second opinion. too many mobile mechanics I've seen around here just try to make up something for diagnostic to get paid hurry up the job and take off while not fixing anything.
