@thinkwithv: For all the AI beginners and tech-ish people out there: A simple but effective thing you can do when working with Fable is to ask it to create a build log of the project that it’s working on and keep it in the folder with all of the other project assets. This creates a detailed artifact, a memory that’s localized tracing exactly what Fable did and why. This bit of intel is incredibly helpful, especially after July 12th or whenever your Fable usage runs out. For other agents in Opus or Sonnet to work with, to understand the hows and the whys of the build. AI is smart but it’s also stupid, so you have to give it memory in terms of what it did. #fable #claude
I think of Claude as Bruce Banner. Hella smart. Low key. Fable is Hulk. A build log is a note Hulk leaves for Bruce so Bruce remembers what he did as Hulk and why.

This is a good idea. I have Fable also to send the logs to Obsidian for a second brain and history of what has been done in multiple projects.

yeah. when you create your plan, put build log at the end of each phase. not update, build. each phase should have their own build log. it will save you a lot of hassle.

Good tip! I've been having Fable give me a running changelog as a markdown after every big task. I give that markdown to a Sonnet prompt engineer to inspect and we come up with the next set of instructions for Fable

Yes, *always* log what you've done. preferably connect Claude to a log infrastructure. Obsidian is popular for good reasons. Tell Claude to remember to keep track of your projects inside Obsidian and make continuous updates. It will save you so many headaches. Documenting work is good practice among coders for a reason, and it's a thing you as a non techie can still do just as well as the pros.
