but sir you are forgetting when the staff member has a pattern of being "ill" and when I say this I mean a chosen to be sick, sick after a weekend off request was refused and business reasons were given, sick when it's pay day and sick before my days off..... We also need to educate on everything

What if that doctors note says "medical condition" as a reason for being off sick. And the company then does not accept it and insists your reason and sickness be disclosed to them as it's "company policy" for you to disclose your illness or reason for being off. What rights do you as a employee have in a situation like that?

I agree with what you’re saying we can have sick notes. We still get pulled into your feet if you have more than so many sick days in a year you still have to ring up every day to say whether you’re going back or not which is annoying because if you’re not going back, why can’t they just leave you alone for seven days instead of we have to ring every day and say I won’t be in tomorrow? I won’t be in tomorrow so I understand what you’re saying but sometimes it gets to you

If company policy says you need a sick note if you are absent for more than 2 days, if you are fatigued, let employer know and take 1 day sick leave is it valid? What if they say it’s unpaid since you didn’t bring a sick note but company policy says otherwise
