Mohee to Odumase Krobo, one of the prominent @Dangme towns and the vibrant capital of the historic Manya Krobo (Klo) Traditional Area and the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality in Ghana’s Eastern Region. A proud Dangme-speaking community, Odumase Krobo is rich in culture, heritage, enterprise, and tradition. It is internationally renowned for its beautiful Krobo glass beads and proudly hosted the First Ghana International Beads Festival in 2009. Agriculture remains the backbone of the local economy, with farmers cultivating maize, cassava, plantain, yam, and mangoes, while agro-processing activities support livelihoods across the municipality. Commerce and Trade thrive through the bustling Agormanya Market, one of the region’s largest trading centres, especially on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Leadership: The Manya Krobo (Klo) Traditional Area is led by HRM Nɛnɛ Sakite II, Paramount Chief of Manya Krobo. The municipality is administered by the Lower Manya Krobo Municipal Assembly, headed by MCE Awetsɛ John Atteh Matey, while the people are represented in Parliament by MP Awetsɛ Okletey Terlabi.
