If I remember correctly custodes are psyker resistant. Not completely immune but the effects are lesser

Well, the custodes actually would do very poorly against the grey knights. Historically, the custodes are not great against psykers and the weakness is so bad that an entire other group (the sisters of Silence) needed to be created.

Just remember kiddos! The Grey Knights, while being extremely powerful, are all Psychers. And the Emperor has spent the last 10,000 years being force fed the souls of a thousand psychers every day. The Terminus Decree is to give the big man a final "pick-me-up" meal to fill him up before he gets mobile again.

Do not get me wrong I do not think it’s gonna be a custody easy victory, but the green Knight are rocking up on the custody’s Home turf on top of that is not just the custody it’s the sisters of silence. It’s pretty much everyone else else in that throne room and if I am not mistaken the sisters of silence are blanks. They nullify psychic powers they stay in the phone room to help reduce the psychic impact of everybody around them. Just send a couple of them out with the custody and the grey Knight’s greatest advantage is turned off at least weakened. Then you cannot convince me they’re not trapped after the heresy built into that corridor. No saying that I’m not entirely sure, but if the Emperor actually wakes up if that’s gonna be the Emperor still and not another entity.

Not sure who thinks the grey knights would ever beat the custodies. The custodes are more in number 10k vs around 1k, better gear and amour, better fighters etc. Maybe a 10 v 1 would result in a custodes death but at least 7 grey knights are dying
