and in california, it takes 3 days of 8 hour shifts. that's on the lower end pa of wage. ITS SO INFURIATING—i made the same comparison with books (= higher literacy, a literal necessity): you can buy 2 books in 1hr of wage in the US, yet 11hrs for a single book in the PH🫠🫠

Definitely living expenses is more expensive in Australia, but the quality of life is something you also get! Dito kahit kitain mo rin ₱94,000 in a day, walang systema sa paligid, the worst government, quality of life zero— talo ka talaga. Unless syempre you “buy” your way out of the inconveniences, then u’re left net with the same amount anyway. Hay.

It also depends here in AU kasi malaki ang penalty rates din kapag working ka during weekends, arvo or night shifts! It add ups, and you can afford it easily. Parang medyo normal na naka iphone rito, unlike sa Pinas na “wAw naka iphone ka!”
