A estrutura, que há cerca de 30 anos se tornou um símbolo da região, também servia de moradia para o artista Márcio Mizael, conhecido como “Rei Castelinho”, de 52 anos. A retirada ocorreu após denúncias sobre as condições do local. De acordo com a subprefeitura, uma vistoria da Defesa Civil identificou risco de desabamento, já que a construção não possuía elementos permanentes que garantissem a segurança. Vídeos que circulam nas redes sociais mostram agentes da Secretaria de Ordem Pública (Seop) desmontando a estrutura, que era sustentada por ripas de madeira. No interior, ficavam objetos pessoais do artista, como livros. Márcio registrou o momento da demolição e lamentou a perda.
