Nothing has changed btw. The vote was for extension of chat control 1.0, not the 2.0 you're thinking off. chat control 1.0 has been here since 2021

e2e encrypted is fine still, so Whatsapp, signal and similar are still fine. For most people it will probably just be their social media messenger chats and email. If you don't want someone to read your email switch to an e2e mail provider, like proton or mailbox.org
