Oh cool I’m early. Hey, can I ask what made you get into writing books? I always get worried nobody will read my stuff if I ever publish it

Japanese literature is so fascinating, I actually wrote my thesis about a 13th century waka anthology and it made me love it even more! I could also recommend Kawabata Yasunari or Natsume Sōseki just to name a few:)

Might sound cliche, but give Haruki Murakami a try! His books have that same dreamlike quality, but with a really unique blend of surrealism and emotional depth. I'd recommend starting with Norwegian Wood if you want something more grounded, or Kafka on the Shore if you're up for something wonderfully strange.

I've read different Japanese authors but not her, I definitely will.
I have a question. How can you manage to read so many texts at the same time? I've always find it hard

Thanks for the recommendation! Japanese fiction always makes me feel like I’m experiencing both the first and last day of school at the same time (it's a specific sensation in my gut).

As a big fan of Japanese literature, I highly recommend the works of Kawabata Yasunari and Oe Kenzaburo. Amazing authors, amazing writing, really worth reading
have you also read any persian literature? I can recommend Sadegh Hedayat and famous poets' work such as rumi and hafez also try to find rhythmic translations to replicate a reading experience close to the original
