At a postal hub in Shenzhen, human-shaped robots have done exactly that job for half a year straight — no breaks, around the clock. Each one moves about 10,000 parcels a day, roughly what a skilled worker handles. Here’s the smart part: nobody rebuilt the warehouse. The robots just plug into the existing sorting lines and stand where a person would. No expensive overhaul. And it‘s scaling fast. One company plans to ship a thousand of these robots this quarter alone — into China Post, SF Express, and more than a dozen other logistics centers.
