Canadian friends, the Birdfy Bath giveaway starts this week. 🇨🇦 Before we kick things off, I wanted to share why this has become one of my favourite pieces of birding equipment. I went into it thinking it was simply a bird bath with a camera. Instead, it’s completely changed how I think about bird baths. Being able to experiment with different water depths, substrates like gravel and slate, fountains, and then watch how birds actually respond has been fascinating. I’ve seen multiple species use this bath in ways I’ve never observed at any of my traditional bird baths, and I’ve captured bathing behaviours I didn’t even know were happening in my own yard. The camera gives you something you normally don’t get: continuous feedback. Every day it teaches you a little more about what birds actually prefer, allowing you to refine your setup to better support the birds visiting your yard.
