I don’t understand this notion that he ‚fumbled the bag‘. People get annoyed at Fitzy for staying in a relationship he doesn’t want to to win. But when Finley does what people want fitzy ti do he fumbles? Also the point of the show is meant to be to find love. I know it’s not how it works, but that’s how it’s meant to be. If he thinks he likes someone else more, why not explore it?

Your point about people excusing someone’s behavior because of their culture is so accurate. If the roles were reversed and it was a Black person, nobody would be saying, “Oh, she’s not rude, she’s just black, that’s our culture.” Instead, they’d be quick to label her as loud or aggressive. The double standard is honestly wild.
