Personally, I feel that somewhere along the line, the movement of allowing people to express themselves freely became corrupted. Though straight, I had many friends in the LGBT community back in the day...in fact, I preferred gay bars to straight any day of the week. It was always an accepting community, where anyone could be themselves without judgement. Then I noticed some people in the community began to gate keep. I ended up moving and was never able to find the same kinship community...only on an individual basis. The community itself began to set rules, per say, for inclusion and if you did not follow them, you were out. I heard it said once that when hunting monsters, you must be vigilant so as not to become the very monster you seek. In searching for acceptance, it seems the community became the very monster it was trying to defeat. My stance still is and always will be that everyone is free to make their own choices, but some of those rights end the moment you have to force them on someone else in order to have them.

You must give basic respect to receive it. Intentionally calling a trans person what they do not want to be called by or referred by will result in equal disrespect. These conversations are much needed but cannot be facilitated when intertwined with malice and hate. You are not here to have a meaningful conversation you are here for clicks and attention.

I’ve question the effect of hormones for years Dr always want to put you on some sort of hormone therapy so I can’t imagine what taking the opposite hormone that your body wants to produce does to a person physically, emotionally. Women who were are the Depo are having major issues now so that’s scary. Wishing you well on your journey

I don’t care what one does with themselves as it does not affect my life directly. However I do believe in a moral and ethical code. With that being said I have several friends who are trans and will openly speak about the “mental heath evaluation” and how the doctors just say “okay” and push hormones. That to me is concerning. But I love and support them for who they are and could never imagine pushing them out for detransitioning
