As a Floridian im not here to judge just advice here, rinse the outside of the buildings with water to bring down the temp of the brick, then utilize fans, lots of fans in the buildings

"but in X it's 35" who gives a fuck? Genuenly? Your entire area is commonly that warm. 28 is warm as a mother fucker when the sun doesn't go down and when the buildings are built to keep the heat in.

it’s also relative. 28°c for someone who lives in a place where it is regularly and consistently 30°c+ will feel it a lot different to people who live in a place where it is an abnormally to reach 30°c+.

I'm closer to the North Pole than to the Equator and the infrastructure I exist in was built upon this fact, please allow me to complain about the man-made heatwave.

its not just heat. its stagnant heat. my american friend has said to me that when its hot, theres a breeze. here, there is no breeze! if i ride my moped on a hot day WITH a breeze, its nice. today? no breeze, just hot air. the air rushing past my body as i rode WAS HOT. WHY WAS IT HOT

‘It’s not that hot, we get that every summer” WE DONT?! This is literally lasting 3 days and then dropping by 10°C the next day, we can’t acclimatise because it’s over so quick we just suffer and then it drops significantly. Our average temp for July is 16.8°C (62.24°f) so yes it is very much not normal and uncomfortable for all of us

Spanish here and let me tell you 28⁰C at 10pm is awful even in houses built with summer heat in mind. If that's what UK is going through now, I'm SO sorry for you 🥲🥲🥲

You Misunderstood. Most of those comments weren’t acting like you were saying 28°F. They were saying that 28°C is not very hot for them. People in the United States live in regions where it never even dips below 34°C at night. And yes, they also have humidity. I get it, you’re not used to it. That’s fine. But people who deal with higher temps with higher humidity on a regular basis have no sympathy for you. That’s all it is. Also, insulation is insulation. If it can keep the heat in, it can also keep the heat out. You just have to prepare better.
