@doctorsooj: One pupil is bigger than the other! Most people would assume that if one pupil suddenly becomes much larger after a dental procedure, the dentist must have "hit a nerve." In reality, that's usually not the case. In rare instances, local anesthetic used during dental treatment can temporarily affect the nerves that control the pupil, causing one pupil to become larger than the other. It can look alarming, but it often resolves on its own within a few hours. The important part is knowing when not to brush it off. A suddenly enlarged pupil can also be a sign of a serious neurological problem, including a stroke, bleeding in the brain, or pressure on the nerves that control the eye. That's why context matters. If it's accompanied by a severe headache, double vision, a drooping eyelid, weakness, confusion, difficulty speaking, or trouble moving the eye, don't assume it's just from the dentist : seek urgent medical attention. Swipe through to learn why one pupil can suddenly become larger, when it's a rare side effect of dental treatment, and the warning signs you should never ignore. 👁️ Comment "EYES" below and I'll send you my FREE Eye Warning Signs Guide with simple explanations of common eye symptoms, emergency red flags, and when it's time to seek urgent care. 📩 Educational content only. Sudden changes in pupil size - especially when accompanied by neurological symptoms, should always be assessed promptly by a healthcare professional. #eyes #health

I was born with this, didn't even notice it until my early 30s 😆 thought something was wrong with me until I looked back on my baby photos and it was there the whole time 😂
