It would be super fun if Netflix didn’t cancel this and let them actually adapt all of the books/moves the Ingalls make. 🤷🏻♀️I never liked that the original tv series had them land in Walnut Grove and they never really moved along after when the majority of the books actually take place in South Dakota.

I don’t remember “Walnut Grove” being a thing in the books, not sure why everybody is mentioning it. What stood out in the books was that they lived in a dugout along the banks of Plum Creek. The name of the nearby town is so minor in the book that it barely comes up. They also aren’t there for very long at all, they immediately go to De Smet.
