@sacredchad: In January 2025, the Palisades Fire tore through Malibu, California. It was one of the most destructive wildfires in Los Angeles history. Mel Gibson lost his home of 15 years in the fire. He was in Austin, Texas recording a podcast with Joe Rogan when it burned to the ground. He returned to find nothing left. Books dating back to the 1600s, photographs, 15 years of personal belongings. All gone. When asked how he was dealing with it, he said: “God gives, God takes.”
