@zmilya9: Fighter jets of the Northern Fleet returned to Murmansk after NITKA training in Crimea — Pilots of the naval fighter aviation regiment of the Northern Fleet (NF), who completed a flight training program at the ground-based aviation training complex NITKA in Crimea, have arrived at their permanent base airfield, Severomorsk-3 in the Murmansk region. Under the guidance of experienced instructor Colonel Pavel Podguzov (one of the students of the legendary pilot and Hero of Russia Timur Apakidze) and the regiment commander Lieutenant Colonel Vyacheslav Lunin, both young and experienced pilots practiced takeoffs and landings on a ground-based simulator that replicates an aircraft carrier deck. Five Severomorsk pilots flew the Su-25UTG training aircraft and the combat Su-33 fighters. Their training lasted more than a month. During this time, seven pilots, including young carrier aviation pilots, were successfully prepared for carrier deck landings.
