i have more than 1 million mastery points on her and to me she is very fun. i understand that its not gameplay for everyone, but the fun totally lies in unattaching and playing for yourself! 50% of the laning phase i play unattached and by auto attacking. yuumi scales extremely well and by mid-late game you are buffing your mate insanely high, depending on the items you build. i admit that she isn't really fun with ranged adcs, like ezreal, miss fortune, caitlyn, all of those. but with heavy fighters like yasuo or yone she is so fun, because you are constantly fighting right next to them and have a lot of impact on the fights. i do recommend playing her duo queue though, since solo queueing her is actually pretty boring and you get hated on most matches

Champion sucks as well, could pick any other enchanter with healing shielding cc and other things or just a tank supp instead you pick a single target shielding character
