I enjoyed this! Wasps have taken a spot to nest in a corner of our threshold/ porch. We just let them live there now. They take care of the space.

I watched a paranormal documentary as a kid where a family experienced a threatening spirit in their home and ultimately had to move. The home had lots of religious symbols angels, crosses, scripture cross-stitch etc. At the end of the episode the camera pans out of the door and scans over the welcome mat. I remember my mom exclaiming “that’s their problem, right there!” I don’t remember many details of that episode other than the ending and my mother’s commentary. To this day I’ve never owned a doormat that says welcome.

I swear the energy of my home changed after I tossed out the “welcome” mat and replaced it with one without words. And cinnamon rituals. And an evil eye in my wreath. Protecting the threshold is essential. Thank you for teaching us these lessons! 🫶🏻

Same. No welcome mat. Inside the broom is upside down. Selenite, tourmaline and cinnamon over the door.. A bowl of salt and rosemary. Protection sigil on both sides of the door.
