As a white person im sorry that there are people in these comments that are choosing to not listen to or understand what you are saying. It is NOT racism to not want to put your in an uncomfortable and sometimes dangerous situation, not due to their skin color, but due to the fact that they refuse to acknowledge when a minority is actively being mistreated in society. Someone not wanting to be friends with a black person comes from harmful stereotypes, bigotry or just straight hatred. A black person often avoiding being friends with white people because those white people refuse to acknowledge the harm being done because it doesn’t affect them and therefore puts that black person in an uncomfortable situation is NOT racism.

low-key the same reason why most of my friends in school was poc. like nah Jared I don't think calling that dude the n-word was very funny. Plus like the racist shit gets so much worse in all white private spaces. It seems like most of them believe something is being taken away from any race that isn't white. like deadass had people tell me they would be good at basketball if they were black...like bro...IT DOESN'T WORK LIKE THAT FUCK! I won't lie and say I'm a saint, I was raised with racist ass parents who think saying slurs is fun. It horrifies me when I remember I told my best friend at the time that "she's like an Oreo" because she's black but "doesn't act like it" in like the 4rd grade (we are still best friends to this day) Now I'm the only who says something when my family says shit...I'm the outcast of the family because of that.
