And s/o to my yoga blocks and yoga wheel. I’m so honored to move my body. Am I where I wanna be strength or flexibility wise? Nope. I’d be a strong ass contortionist if that were the case. But what my body can do after all it’s experienced and endured, I’m eternally grateful. I gave birth. Thrice. And I am here, alive, to tell the tale. That alone gives me pause and brings me to my knees with gratitude. As Mother’s Day is this Sunday, I’m thinking about where I’ve been and that I still have the pleasure to keep going. I don’t take that for granted. I don’t say any of this to boast and this is not in neglect to other folks’ experiences. I see you, too. Just gotta give myself flowers for still doing this thing called life. Yoga has kept me going on 11 years. Our eldest is 11. I have had the pleasure (and grieving pain) to practice yoga 3/4 pregnancies. And I’m still growing and learning and shedding and reflecting and accepting. ALL of this is a big deal. Before this gets longer than intended, I’m just really grateful to be here and live/teach/share the practice of yoga with y’all. And if I forget on Sunday, Happy Mother’s Day in advance to all you fine mfs doing your thing despite all of *this*. You GLOW, girl! Send a Muva some $ bc you appreciate her! And I do hope you all join me tomorrow to continue this joy and gratitude with me as I marvel at my resilience in this ‘hood as a MUVA 🤎. Be easy, be blessed, and go fckn STRETCH! #Journey2Antoinette #yogaprops #movementjoy #J2AProgress #fatyoga Body liberation, virtual yoga class, Black yoga teacher, yoga for everyone, every body can yoga
