She had just finished her junior year of high school and had recently started her first summer job as a lifeguard at Comins Pond. On the morning of 27 June 2000, Molly's mum, Magi, drove her to Comins Pond shortly before her shift began. About 20 minutes later, families began arriving. They found Molly's belongings by the lifeguard chair but no Molly. Her sandals, towel, and open first aid kit were all sat there but Molly was missing. At first, local police wondered whether she had simply left the beach voluntarily. Her family immediately insisted that was completely out of character. As the hours passed, investigators realised something much more serious had likely happened. The investigation quickly focused on an important detail. The day before Molly vanished, her mum had noticed a man with a moustache sitting alone in a white car in the beach parking lot. At the time, she felt uneasy but didn't think enough of it to report him. On the morning Molly disappeared, another witness reported seeing a man matching that description near the pond shortly before Molly arrived. A composite sketch of the unidentified man was released, and for years he became known simply as the "man in the white car." they should start training the dogs to identify if there is another consistent sent of another person with the missing person sent and give some type of specific signal. that way they'll be able to tell if somebody else was involved in the incident
