@thinkwithv: Claude rot is real. Fable fatigue is real. That 4am, wired-then-wrecked, "just one more fix" loop? Also real. These models are built to keep you in it. They never say "that's enough." So that call is on us. Demis Hassabis said it at Google I/O: one of the biggest AI skills now is not succumbing to the noise. Knowing when to stop is the whole game. What's your "enough" signal? Follow for more on using AI without it using you. #ailiteracy #howtouseAI
this actually clicked for me earlier this week when I realised I was spending more time building the thing I wanted than using it. had to take a step back and refocus.

there's time to sleep when fable access is pulled. I'll survive until next week

My biggest take aways is that not everything needs ai or more power

I find myself frustrated that I'm not keeping Claude busy 24/7. It can do more than I can think in a day! I've come to the conclusion that learning to manage multiple work streams is a key skill for this phase.

P true I’ve always had my card set up to check in with me at the end of the day because of my neurodivergent brain and what has become actually annoying with fable is that it can get so much done in such a short period of time that it doesn’t compute the amount of human hours of work that it is getting done and compared to the actual and it will be less than an hour and it will be telling me that I should stop for the day and I’m getting frustrated with that because I’m like no we have so much work we can get done like we have eight hours of work that we can get done left

Fable Fear of Loss. “If it’s going away then I need to use it as much as possible”

At the rate the platforms are shipping, it’s easier to just relax and wait for them to ship. Just as we have over the last 2-3 years, we are currently burning ourselves out on a model that 2028 will laugh out of the building. That POV helps. Oh and permission your model to tell you enough is enough today. 😂

This is so helpful I'm now recognizing that what I'm building is good enough. Time to stop!

lol. I’m with you V. What is sustainable is the question I’m reluctant to answer. FOMO + the ability with these tools to accomplish the vision in my head is intoxicating at times. I find myself getting 1/2 way through a Netflix show and jumping back to keep building.

One reason to not be fatigued for the long haul keeping up with AI - it messes with your ability to make decisions and think well.
