US Soccer is not looking for the best players, they are looking for the parents with the most money. Club Soccer costs about $5,800 by me and includes tournaments and practice. Price rises to over $10,000 if you want private/small group instruction. And don’t forget travel expenses, hotels, food, etc.

She’s 💯 correct. Im a soccer dad. I could not afford it. Thanks to the club that saw my sons potential and they give him a full scholarship. He’s now a pro soccer player. ⚽️🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

if the child isn't in a competitive academy by the time they're 13, its almost impossible for them to go pro. By the age 9 scouts should already be reaching out to you.

I met her when I was younger and I drew her a picture, she signed a soccer ball me and wrote a whole message on it. She also took my picture and said she loved and was going to put it on her fridge (prob didn't but being a young soccer player it meant so much)

My nephew was exceptional at soccer. They tried travel teams for a couple years and it was insane. Now he plays ball and just got a scholarship, even though he loved soccer. Just too expensive.

So true I know about 3 players that I grew up with with the talent to be the best in the world and they simply did not get scouted or got any opportunity because we just played in a regular league not mls next or encl
