When the whistle blows just take it quickly, no time to overthink and gives the keeper less time to react.

It requires the taker to think, which is fine on a random practice day but terrible when the weight of the world is on your shoulders. Do the thinking before the action. Pick your spot and hammer it. If it's hit hard and correctly located, a keeper can't stop it even if he guesses correctly.

i don’t understand because i thought that the approach had to be continuous without pauses and stutters and fake outs. If they’re allowed to do that i think the goalkeeper should be allowed to move off their line. Because statistically the PKs favor the striker

If you have a good stuttered run up that sometimes fails then it can be used as a setup for a normal run up which some players mix in. Good to have multiple tricks

it's ridiculous if you run out and blast it straight at the keeper or to the left or right. it doesn't matter if he picks the right way you could get hard enough they won't be able to stop it... if you ever watch Lothar Mattheus take penalties for Germany. that's exactly how it should be

The sample is way too small to make a statistical conclusion. If the odds were actually equal between shuttering and not stuttering, you’d still expect the percentages to be at least this far apart 42.8% of the time.
