@papifunko: I thought I knew what hard was. My time served in the army was a cakewalk compared to being an autism parent. here is the perspective of an infantryman and autism dad on what I thought was hard. #autism #veteran #autismmom #asd #moms

As a single father of 2 autistic babies under the age of 5, I understand your struggle. No village, no help coming. Hands down, it's the hardest thing I've ever done in my entire life.

Before my son was diagnosed, the hardest thing I'd ever done was college and graduate school. I grew up with loving immigrant parents who worked incredibly hard to give me a good safe life, so I thought I understood what "hard" meant. Then my son was diagnosed with autism.Suddenly, I wasn't just a mom. I had to become an advocate, learn special education law, fight for services, make impossible decisions, and carry the weight of wondering whether every choice I made would shape his future. My son is 25 now, so I can tell you this from the other side: the hardest part wasn't one specific day. It was the uncertainty. Loving someone so much while constantly wondering if you were doing enough.Your child is five💕 There will be hard days ahead, but there will also be victories you can't imagine yet. Keep fighting, keep learning, and don't be afraid to ask for help. One day you'll look back and realize that every battle you fought became the foundation your child stood on. 🥰

My father was an alcoholic. When I was 6 years old, I watched him sit on my mother and hit her with his fists. He drank everything he earned, my mother used her minimum wage to pay the bills, feed us, hide the money so that my father wouldn't find it, dress us, buy us toys. I had to take care of my younger brother from a young age because my mother HAD to work all the time. We had a lot of debt. When my father came home (always drunk, of course), we were always stressed because he was always aggressive (mostly mentally, physically - he threw things at us more than he hit us). Later, when we were older, my brother and I took turns going out because we were afraid that my mother would be left alone with him. Now I have a child with autism (10 years old). In our country, autism is not assessed by degrees - you either have autism or you don't. If I had to rate it from 1 to 10, I would say it's somewhere around a 4. So, since I was born, I've been under stress. I don't even know what it's like to be stress-free. My child is great, but I have to do a lot for him, constant worry, thinking if he's in pain or if he's hungry,.... If I had to decide now when I was worse - with my father or my child... I would say with my father. With my child, there are no worries about aggression, money, we enjoy it. We offer him a good life and with that, us too. But for now, in the future, as I get older, there will probably be an increasing concern about what will happen when I'm gone.

How was jah booty tho? Lol jkfml u feel you hun. He’s my reason. Not in a haha yeah that’s funny way. I was on a death wish without him In my life. He is equitable to being a soldier at warfare the PTSD that you have from wanting them to have their best and trying to do the best you can for them and no matter what you do feeling like at the end of the day you feel short because you do want the best for them. Trying to get them to eat healthy things things that day a victory is getting them to snitch at least four condiments at least an inch from their nose two times that is a huge victory for us are I thought I was through hard times, but you know what God forget all this the fact that we can handle this with him or strengthen. He helps us handle this if we rely on him. No one truly knows the answer except for Jehovah God
