I should have hugged him tighter i should have kept him inside maybe if that car didn’t pull out if the driveway that morning he would still be here, meowing and purring like he always does. His food bowl will always still be full with his favourite food and not the processed one because I knew he didn’t like it. It doesn’t feel real I keep looking at the door hoping you’ll be there meowing to come in like maybe you passing was just a big dream. But I know it wasn’t a dream because the fur I still have smells like you and I’ve never cried so much in my life I know it wasn’t a dream. I would have held you tighter if I knew it was your last hug
