"Who would win in a fight" whoever the author writes a victory for. That's the whole point.

Derek Jackson :
people who say power scaling is dumb dont understand power scaling. we power scale irl all the time. its why boxing has weight classes. Who would win between a heavy weight and a feather weight? more than likely the heavyweight because of their stats. its not impossible for the feather weight to win but it'll be an uphill battle. the same idea goes to power scaling

i say powerscaling is important . IN VERSE .you need to khow WHO is the strongest WHO is the second strongest. you need to khow how your power system supports their strength . going outside of Verse that's when powerscaling gets stupid for me

yet all those things are included. strength, speed, abilities, wincons (not narrative). Numbers being inflated is again an issue with the powerscaler and not the framework. The calculation shouldn't be enhanced just because. it should line up with what the narrative portrays the characters capabilities. its not necessary for me to know the other side bc you're supposed to give reasoning as to why you believe they win. And I can hold to a belief that a character I didn't like wins.
to me this entire segment is very pointless

A lot of dimensional tiering doesn't matter when you have characters with hacks that just makes higher scaling irrelevant and the reason why narrative doesn't matter is because a battle using narrative doesn't end since both characters would have their own narrative behind them.

if your'e playing by narrative then you have to know that whole DC is build around Superman story and his story has meta narrative adaptation to everything

Batman's narrative is to always win against anyone so he just beats everyone in fiction

“the definite absolute winner is, and that’s all that matters.” No it’s not all that matters for most of us, and we WOULD rather have a fun conversation about who would win and not an argument. Also. You have no enemies.

And that's where people mess up. There is no universal rule that says this or that doesn't transfer. If its not established between the debaters than anything goes. And if we being honest they only say something doesn't transfer when it doesn't benefit them cause they quick to spam verse equalization when i say ki or haki wont transfer but let me use something else thats also only within a characters story that doesn't help them they say it cant be used😹 they wanna win a hypothetical debate so bad

The best argument for why no verse equalization is stupid is any cursed spirit beats the entire dragon ball verse on their own

depends if it's a serious fight, if it's just for fun, sitama wins, if the world is at stake, Superman wins, because that's how their stories work

My friends and I got into a bit of a power scaling debate, and we decided that a gimmick beats logic. It’s like a professional boxer fighting Bugs Bunny. The boxer might have the initial advantage, but Bugs will get back up somehow, and the anvil will eventually be dropped on the boxer’s head
