@cleave.to.antiquity: “If a perfectly moral man entered this world, he would be humiliated and impaled” - Plato 400 years before Christ. #christianity #quotes #meme #edit #jesus

Nardurah Focul Sfânt ☦️🙏🔥 :

Not impae crucified that's the most intring thing about what Plato said

masetofocused :

i noticed everytime i do the right thing and try to make someone smile or help their day go a little better people laugh at me and humiliate me, it lets me know i’m doing the right thing

Legion :

He wasn't speaking about Christ though, no matter how hard people try to make it seem like he was predicting Christ's birth with this post. It was a conversation between Socrates and Platos brother Glaucon where Glaucon asked Socrates to prove that justice was good in and of itself, and the above is Plato's response.

aschopf200 :

and even today morality is emplaled with out reason no cause...let face it what happen to him was a deep rooted message to all who seek morality as a righteous path to become to complete pleroma it is the antonym of affliction to all sparks that shine

Robert Light🇲🇽🐸 :

Being a virgin at 21 has gained me a plenty of mockery.

JP 💖🖤 :

I don’t think there is such a thing though. No perfectly moral man or woman on this planet I bet

seeker :

Isa. 5:20

shay maizels :

a perfect moral man would change the world to a perfect moral world. taking the blame for the world actions isnt moral, it was a necessity to stop evil, but not moral.

That’s literally me

the trick to this life, is living with yourself. Be yourself, true self, or be fake.

M I I L O - R O S S I :

He wasn’t directly speaking about Jesus, he also said his eyes would be burned out that never happened to Jesus, he was invoking people to question justice by setting up a hypothetical ’worst case scenario’ to make the reader question wether it’s worth still being good if it brings you no reward and even causes you to suffer, Jesus is definitely king of demonstrating that though! 🤍✝️🕊️

Coffee with Christ :

We should all spend our lives understanding how beautiful Jesus was and how human beings decided to treat him
